Actress Sharvari, who has garnered praise for her guest appearance in the recently released film ‘Maharaj’ opposite debutante Junaid Khan, embraces the label of being a “surprise factor” in the movie.
In a statement to the press, Sharvari expressed her excitement over the audience’s reception of her role in ‘Maharaj’, stating, “I’m really thrilled to read that people are calling me a big ‘surprise factor’ of ‘Maharaj’.” She added, “As an actor, I want to make an impact in every role and in every film that I work on. So, I will happily and humbly accept all the compliments for being a ‘surprise factor’ in a film.”
Sharvari further elaborated on what being labeled as a ‘surprise factor’ means to her: “It means my performance created a major impactful moment. I strive to give it my best always because I treat every film as a stepping stone for something bigger and better in my next choices.”
The actress celebrated a successful month professionally with both ‘Munjya’ and ‘Maharaj’ releasing back-to-back. Reflecting on her achievements, she remarked, “It has been an awesome month for me professionally. To have a huge blockbuster to my credit in the second film of my career, ‘Munjya’, is an absolutely amazing feeling. Interestingly, people again thought I was the ‘surprise factor’ of the film, and it meant the world to me.”
Regarding her upcoming projects, Sharvari disclosed, “Plus, the love coming my way for ‘Maharaj’ is also an incredible feeling. Being called the surprise factor is a huge compliment in any film.” She eagerly anticipates the release of her next film, ‘Vedaa’, directed by Nikkhil Advani, where she plays the titular role. Additionally, Sharvari has been cast in Aditya Chopra’s spy verse alongside Alia Bhatt.
Describing herself as “Greedy,” Sharvari emphasized her dedication to portraying diverse characters, saying, “I work really hard to bring something different with each character I portray, and validations are hugely rewarding for me.” She added, “It motivates me to work harder and put up better performances each time I come on screen.”
Directed by an acclaimed filmmaker, ‘Maharaj’ is a period drama set in pre-independent India, focusing on the Maharaj Libel Case of 1862. The film chronicles the story of journalist and social reformer Karsandas Mulji, who bravely confronted the influential religious establishment of the Vallabhacharya sect.
