Actress Shriya Pilgaonkar has been announced as a jury member for the Shorts category at the upcoming Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) 2024. Pilgaonkar expressed her excitement and gratitude at being selected to contribute to the prestigious festival, renowned for showcasing the best of South Asian cinema on an international platform.

Known for her versatile performances in series like ‘Mirzapur’, ‘Guilty Minds’, and ‘The Broken News 2’, Shriya Pilgaonkar has also made significant strides in international projects such as the British series ‘Beecham House’ and the French film ‘Un plus Une’. Her involvement underscores the festival’s commitment to celebrating talent from diverse backgrounds within the global film community.

The Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles is set to commence on June 27 and will run through June 30. This year’s edition promises an impressive array of submissions in the Shorts Program, including films like ‘Hema’ featuring Rajshri Deshpande, ‘Last Days of Summer’, and ‘Lori’, among others. The festival will culminate with the screening of ‘Maharaja’, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Anurag Kashyap, and ‘Kill’ produced by Guneet Monga and Karan Johar, featuring Lakshya.
Pilgaonkar’s participation adds a new dimension to the festival’s commitment to showcasing groundbreaking cinema and fostering cultural exchange between South Asia and the global film industry.
